Sainburys
Hero Awards 2003

a scheme run by Sainsburys Superstores for their employees who engage
in voluntary work. StreetChild's Chairman (a Sainsburys employee)
received a £ 200 award for the charity.

a new charitable initiative which is raising the profile of
philanthropy in the UK, will shortly be awarding the Beacon Prize to
individuals who are an inspiration to others in the way they give, be
it time, money or expertise. StreetChild's Chairman received a 'Highly
Commended' certificate

an almost impossibly difficult process, with many hundreds of
outstanding nominations, Mr Carswell's achievements stood out as
exceptional," commented Emily Stonor, Chief Executive of Beacon.
